Google Chrome novo em folha à cada 6 semanas

Eu não vivo hoje sem o Firefox. Ele é pra mim o mais prático e é o navegador no qual eu me sinto mais produtivo. Consigo através de extensões sincronizar meus favoritos e também as abas abertas para eu acessar as mesmas abas em outros computadores, inclusive no meu espertofone. Eu sei que ele não é o melhor navegador, mas é aquele que eu mais me adaptei.

O Google Chrome vem se esforçando a cada nova versão para se tornar o navegador preferido pela maioria das usuários de internet. A cada nova versão inovações tecnológicas fascinam os geeks e com isto mais e mais pessoas passam a adotá-lo. O grande problema porém para o Chrome, em linhas gerais, é que ele ainda precisa fazer diversos ajustes e a última novidade é que o período entre versões vai cair para 6 semanas.

Isto pode ser muito bom ou muito ruim. Muito bom, por que dá a garantia que novidades e correções sempre serão endereçadas e rapidamente desenvolvidas, mas pode ser o contrário, já que as novidades podem tornar o navegador instável e ruim de ser utilizado. Tudo depende de quão comprometidos os desenvolvedores estão em programar as novidades e manter a qualidade do produto.

Para grandes empresas este tempo entre versões “tão pequeno” pode ser um tormento. Imagina atualizar centenas de estações a cada 6 semanas? Por mais que existam ferramentas para a tarefa, planejar, testar e garantir o correto funcionamento da distribuição pode ser um desafio. Isto por que nas grande corporações, em prol da segurança da intranet, os usuários não são administradores o que impede que eles mesmo façam as atualizações.

Claro que estas 6 semanas podem varia de tempos em tempos dependendo do estado do desenvolvimento. 😉
